In progress / Tracing forms in Illustrator with attention to the organic nature of the line work. You can see the original drawing set to 50% opacity in the background.
Final / Original is on the left and digital final is on the right. I ended up using a scanned paper bag to help recreate the texture of the original. I think the toughest part of trying to emulate the original piece was attempting to capture the pencil work and marker layering in Illustrator.
