  1. I think you did a really good job showing depth in this one, it's very believable and looks like a vast space

I think it would be kind of nice to see some of the animals or a few birds (i don't know if they were included in your version of the story) and I think the Dwarfs could look more excited in the last panel, because they're still in their somber poses from the previous images.

It'd be nice to see a close up shot too! I'd like to see all the small details, especially in their faces and the grass, it looks like you put a lot of time into those

  2. the depth and color in your scenes are really nice; they all feel complete. I just wish that the dwarfs bodies would have moved along with their facial reactions to what's happening around them rather than just standing still (I understand that would be a lot of work, though). I wanna see some of this up close, too!

  3. Looks Great Reba :) the glass casket (glassket?lol) is very readable, and the sense of depth is too. I also think your figures are improving. One thing that kind of bugs me about the unfolding of events is that after Snow White wakes up the dwarfs are all still in the same pose, I think it would fit the scene better if you had them change in the last frame, maybe they would look surprised or happy.

  4. The details of the grass and the depth shown on her glass coffin look great! I think moving the dwarfs around or changing their expressions throughout the panels would be good, since they're more characters than scenery. The depth in your background looks awesome!

  5. the colors you used in this project are great! the story comes across very well and the characters are good. i think it would have been a stronger piece if they where mixed in with the rest of the composition to make it more interesting! but overall good job!

  6. great job on making the most important scenes in this sequence. If you wanted to, you could even stick the guy in the first picture farther into the backgound to make it look like he is coming towards snow white instead of already being there. One thing that you talked about doing but could be pushed further is the lighting. I know you said something about the sunlight coming through the trees... It would be awesome if you added a light yellow light coming down into the clearing. This would add to the focus of you picture.

  7. Love the character designs. Great rendering on the trees and the fog I feel a large amount of depth in the forest. How did you get the awesome texture for the dirt it looks so textured! Like all the designs of the dwarfs I know how hard it is to make a large number of characters. Sweet job on the gold coffin and glass casing.

  8. I think you did a great job with the atmosphere in your environment! It looks like the air in the scene is heavy, and that there is a lot of space between the trees in the foreground and the ones in the background! I think you also did a great job making your characters visible and important using more contrasty colors and vibrant colors. I think the scenes that you describe above have a really nice pace -I can tell that they happen pretty close in sequence, and how the story would progress with each scene. One thing I think would make it stronger is if the prince entered from the right rather than from the left- that way he doesn't appear to step over her as he comes into the scene. Maybe he could be walking in from back in the background - that would also let you involve the nice deep space that you've set up. One other thing I think you could do is change the positions of dwarves ever so slightly between each scene, too - so they do'nt seem to be static in all scenes. I think if it were animated, you'd see them turn to watch her be kissed and get up. maybe they'd rejoice?? Maybe they'd mill around or crowd around? It would also be great to see some detail shots! your progress shots look great! Also -- I just wanted to say thanks for an awesome semester! it's been so fun, and I always loved seeing what you came up with!! I love the subjects of your pieces - they're always so fanciful! Thanks for being amazing and I hope you stop by and say hi to me next semester!! :) Yeah!
