Oh my goodness this is sooo adorable! I really love your color choice and your textures and the shapes and just... this has a really lovely personality to it! And even though the background is sparse/mostly white, it doesn't feel empty!
This is really really cute. The way you've blended the textures with the shapes is incredibly well done- the colors really add to it as well! The entire piece blends together really nicely, I especially love what you did with the texture just above the grass on the left.
I like the spotted texture on your snail. It is a cute monster too. I think the only things I would do is to make the snail less see through so you cant see the grass going through it and to maybe add a low opacity texture to the snail to give him more character.
I like how your textures are really subtle. It doesn't seem distracting from the shapes that your'e creating. Especially because you're using the color in a subtle way as well. I do like how you're letting the background show through on the grass piece on the left - that is pretty cool - maybe it would be neat to use that in future projects in areas where you want to show a shape without defining it entirely. I think it would be interesting to show other areas of overlay - like what you're doing with his slime trail. I like seeing it through the bottom of his body - what if some of the grass did the same? I also think it would be good to see him on a background color - and maybe the green of his body can be bumped down a little so you can see his face better, but that's an easy switch. Nice job.
the leaves are a nice touch, especially the ones with the light hatching texture
ReplyDeleteI really like your color pallet, and the expression on his face. maybe just a bit more detail on his body?
ReplyDeleteReally cute design! I love this.
ReplyDeleteColors look good together, and the textures look great. I love the grass texture

ReplyDeleteThe color palette is lovely. I would maybe add some sort of texture on the snails body.
