  1. I really like this image. To be honest I think that the vector piece is even more successful! I think that having a chance to make definitive choices about color really made this image pop!

  2. i think 1 or 2 subtle highlight colors in the black hood areas would help mirror the great depth you've created with the colors of the skull

  3. I think you did a great job on this piece - I like how you've simplified the shadows into shapes along the left hand part of the drawing. The purple shadow is especially nice as it looks liek you're using optical colors rather than local colors. I also think you've done a great job replicating the zig zag pattern in the eyes -. The only thing I think you could add with this is to add some more blue shines to the black areas of the vector drawing and maybe a couple dark blue spots inside the flame. you did such a nice job in the rest of the face, some of those hot shines would be great to see. You did the sizing perfectly. Thank you! Great work!

  4. I think the vector image is a lot stronger than the original. One thing I might add is a little bit of dark blue in the flame. Otherwise it looks great!

  5. Too cute. Would like to see some color on its body though instead of the flat black. A few highlights and its perfect.

  6. I can't decide which one I like better, they are both very well done, The blue flame works better on the original I think, but i like the eyes better on the vector with the higher contrast.

  7. Super cool! I would like to see more variety of color when it comes to the black area to show more depth but other than that i think you did great!

  8. I love the simplification you did; it all makes sense and overall has the same appearance. It'd be nice to have a bit more depth in the black to make it pop a bit more.

  9. This reminds me of the Sour patch commercial!

    Image 1: "First their sour..."
    Image 2: "Then They're sweet." :)
    lol

    Very well illustrated!
