  2. Looks just like her. Way to go!

I love the colors you used and how the background blends into the image.

  3. I really like how you added in the little bursts of color behind the face- it looks like the face is fading in! I think you could've added a bit more volume to the face, maybe even just on the right side if you wanted to keep the fading-in feel.

  4. I love the little bursts of color on the face. However, I feel like you could have used the space a little bit better. Maybe enlarge the whole face a bit?

  5. I like the color, but the drawing looks very unfinished. If you want to work more with linework and a simple palet try makeing the linework more purposefull, right now the lines are all very similar and don't seem to be thought of very much :)

  6. The colors that you are using look nice and the pose looks good too. I would zoom in more though so we can see more detail and coloring. I would also add more colors and shadows to the outer edges of her head. You are starting to get some depth in the middle of the face so keep going with that.

  7. the color pallet is really nice; the green tone pops the portrait out of the background nicely. maybe add just a touch more volume in the built-up area.

  8. Haaaaaannnaaaaaa. I like that this feels like a watercolor piece. It gives an abstract vibe in a way. Good job

  9. Oh also maybe having some variety in your colors would make them look better... the color is a little deadened, make one of the colors so that the value is different! That would also help with the depth :)

  10. I love the textured background colors a lot - I wish this was bigger so I could see it!! Also -- do you have any process pieces for this? Can you post those for me so I can see how you built it up? It's so simplified, it woudl be good to see how you put it together! I agree, it looks like a watercolor piece and there is something nice about the simplicity. I love the way you're having the color come out from behind her face, I think you coudl even push it further. I think one thing that could be really nice is to go back in with some light colors and hit her with some highlights. I mean -- even more so add to what you have going on in her eyes. I love how you start to get a bit darker with her hair near the top, keep going! It would be great to see a detail or to see which brushes you used! because you didn't write anything ,I'm not sure what pieces you did! Can you tell me? I do love the way you've added her black glasses. Ithink it helps bring a focus to the piece and is definitely the first place I look. Add those extra light colors to bring out her face a little bit more! Be daring! It's a really nice drawing, I'd love to see it bigger!
