Zoya, this is gorgeous! The flowers are fantastic and really help to bring everything together! I love the way the girl on the left is painted - SO gorgeous and ethereal. I sort of wish the other girl could be painted a little more like that as well. It really brings it into the color palette of the river.
Your flowers are awesome. The pinks and red really give it a nice contrast between the cooler colors of the background. I'm glad that you added the greenish blue hue to you background image as well. One thing I would suggest is maybe to burn the edges of your flower curtain to give it more depth and to integrate it better into the picture.
I think the way you do floral and any sort of detail is really nice. I wish the flowers were not just a framing device, but rather set within the landscape.
The flowers and coloring overall look great. However, I wish the flowers were a little less obstructive of the landscape. Right now they seem like a big curtain of flowers in the front and not totally part of the vegetation. They would look better if some of them were set back at various distances.
I really like the colors and characters they're very well planned out but I would have to agree with Cole in that the plowers seem a bit cluttered. I like your earlier idea with more characters in the background. Great job with merging the image and photo.
I totally see what you are doing here! I remember talking with you about having it seem like this guy is looking through a curtain of foliage in order to catch these ladies unaware - and to steal their skin, right?! so, you're tryign to make the viewer the skin stealer??? I think it would be cool for you to play around with parting the flowers just a little bit more and bring them up a tiny bit -- maybe in place of some of hte hanging pieces, you could place them around the bottom, almost as if he has to move the hanging ones AND the ones that are on the ground in front of him out of the way before seeing - this would open up the beauty of the image you pulled for your landscape and I think it would let you see the riger a little bit more! I love how you're adding expiremental color inside the girl on the bottom - it really ties her into the vibrant colos of the whole piece - and it would be great ot see that done withe seal and the other girl - even if they were both lightly touched with color rather than full blown colorful. I say this because I think it's nice that they seem to recede a little bit more as they are, so maybe just a tiny hint of warm color would bring them to life, but keep them subdued against the bkgrd. THe seal on teh bottom looks chopped off a bit? Is that a weird screenshot? Or is he actually chopped in half somehow?
I love th way yoy're working with the figures and the way you're handling the paint -- its really nice to see that youre adding some shadows and color into the river. I love that the water gets vibrant!
