  1. This is a nice start. I like how comical you made it. That sand texture is really nice. Make sure that you make the locusts feel really overwhelming. lke make it so the top corner has so many you can't see the background.

  2. MORE LOCUSTS! Definitely on the right track. Good colors so far, very Egyptian.

  3. AUGH! I hate bugs! You've picked a really great plague here to illustrate. I really like your cartoon style in your work. You give really wonderful expressions, but I would maybe play with another angle for a more dramatic effect than the straight profile shot. But great facial expression, great body movement in the character, and the bugs are giving an added layer of depth to the composition that is really working and I would encourage you to push the differences in their size and placement even more.

  4. You always have a great way of animating your characters! I love the chase scene that you're setting up! The addition of the sand texture is really nice as well and I could see you bringing in another photo-real texture as well to balance it out in the sky or something? I love where this is headed and I definitely think you could draw a handful of other locust poses to add to the mix so they all seem really different! Maybe even flipping them (mirroring them) so that you get even more poses! I'm excited to see what you do with the background! i could see a huge swarm of them in a big cloud coming from the distance or something!

  5. I really like how the character feels really cohesive with the bee characters they feel like they come from the exact same world. Its really a great job I liked how you decided to have them hooking in as opposed to just scattering it adds a lot more emphasis to the animated quality of the work, JETLIFE
