  2. I love that your colors look really integrated into the space! IT's neat to see that you have some really awesome mid-tones and neutrals that are shared by both the characters and the environment. I think that your sense of perspective in the space is also really nice. For example the size of your characters work really well with the tables/chairs.
The lighting is also really nice on the characters and it matches the backgrounds really well.
If you wer to do anything else, I'd say maybe include a little bit of drawing on some of the photo elements with linework or something to blend them even further. Also - it might be cool for you to play with blur effects in the areas where the photo has some blur to it? Maybe blur the characters a little so they seem to blur with the space, too! Really nice!!

  3. I really like the style that you used for this piece. Even though the characters aren't drawn realistically, they still seem like they would fit into this environment. I also like how you have several things going on at the same time. That makes the whole piece a lot more interesting and the way they are all organized makes a lot of sense compositionally. One thing I think you could do to improve this piece would just be to take out the salt shaker in the back. It might be because of its color, but it just doesn't seem to fit like the rest of your drawn pieces. Overall, though, I really like this piece and the sense of humor that you put into each part of the drawing.

  4. Even though these gremlins aren't drawn realistically, they totally work in the scene! The soft lighting and colors are just enough to make them believable in the space. It kind of reminds me of Space Jam where the cartoons are a part of the real world. Its a really fun/playful scene too because each of the gremlins are taking an active role in the room.

  5. Yeah, I really like this. The creepy kitchen with the green gremlins wreaking havoc. Nice. Like it. I agree that maybe there should be a little more line work on the background photo. Or throw some stuff on the counter in the back. Otherwise, your highlights on the monsters are smart and your placement of them carries the viewers eyes throughout the whole piece giving it multiple points of interest and not just one focus. And I would like to see the guys in the foreground blurred out a little, just to follow the direction of the photo.
    But dudes are sweet.
    And I love the plate.

  6. I really like the textures on your gremlins. The color and style of your drawing also work well with the creepy fakeness of the photo (it's a dollhouse kitchen, right?). When I look at it in the large size I'm a little distracted by the way that the man's pants seem blurred, but his shirt isn't at all, also his shirt bottom seems strangely ragged.

  8. Yeah!

Wonderful attention to detail. I love the little things like the plaid shirt you used for the person or the slight blur on the edges. Overall really nice

  9. I really like this. I like how you created different textures for the Gremlins' skin; it makes them look so realistic, they really come to life!
