My Final image.
These are skřítek (imps) in Prague. Imps are little magical folk like elves or fairies, but more mischievous. Here they are altering the course of the heavens by playing games with an astronomical clock on Earth.

  1. Your final image looks lime someone actually made wooden or cardboard cutouts of these little goblin guys and attached to the clock, which is really cool. If you didn't want to go for that look, however, I'd just say shade them so that they are a bit more rounded.

  2. That looks awesome! I love the clock picture you chose. It works really well with your goblin buddies. I would though maybe throw some shading onto the clock where the goblins are? Then they wouldn't stand out so much.
other than that I love it!

  3. What a fun idea! I really like the placement of your figures, it makes me want to go up there and join them. The contrast you added to the image looks very nice. I would suggest maybe adding a bit more color variation to the little guys. nice use of shadow too!

  4. I love this idea, such a smart way to use this technique. The texture you used on the imps is great and I like your color choices. Maybe push the value in the imps a little so they become a stronger focus or have them interacting with the clock in a more dynamic way like the guy hanging from the hand.
He makes their purpose very clear and adds interest.

  5. I think if they were a little more rendered they would fit in a little more. I really like the guys though. If you desaturated the colors a bit that could be nice. It's interesting you didn't do a landscape.

  6. You really merged the two elements together well and the imps are great, so it's pretty solid as is, but if you may wanted to push it further you could give the photo a little vignette or something and look at making the colors a little brighter on the illustrations.

  7. Nice. I really like the idea on your illustration. It really makes me want to keep more track of time. The only thing I would suggest is to make some of the creatures brighter.

  8. The flatness of these guys works well with the parts of the clock. I think they are a little dark though and a few highlights would help. The story is also interesting and I think the playfulness definitely comes through. It might be cool to have one or two guys interacting with the figures on the posts! :)
