  1. Nice! I really like the lighting in the background. It doesnt seem as consistent on the characters though. It's a bit jarring that she moves backwards between the 2nd and 3rd ones. Everythign is drawn very consistently and it's nice to look at.

  2. I really like how you went from quiet and serene in the first few images to fast and intense in the last image. I also like how well you rendered the characters. It really makes the viewer look at them right away. One thing I think you could do to improve on this piece would be to do some other changes to the background elements in the scenes. One last thing I like, though, is the fur details on the wolf. It looks really well done.

  3. I looove the lighting in this one. And the big wolf reminds me of Morrow from Princess Monoke. (I can't remember how to spell that crap D: )
Anyway I do think the characters could play with the lighting of the forest a little bit more. I fee like since the light source is in the back they would have a little bit heavier shadows on them.

  4. Great detail! Her face is really nice and I really appreciate what a good job you did with the fur on your wolf. The arrangement with your story feels a bit strange as it has her so far away, very close, then in the middle, it almost feels out of order. NIce work, your textures are just oh so yummy.

  5. This is great! The wolf reminds me of the movie Princess Mononoke and the light coming through the trees is perfect.

  6. I love the approach you've taken with your background lighting! I think the light streaming in from the far side is really great to set a mood. It seems warm, but still really lonely in there. I think it would be cool to see you darken up the forground a little = maybe the forest floor in the middle? so that the light seems like the "Way out!"

I love the way that you're using space to push us in and out of the forest and I think you've done a great job creating the characters! I think the suspense is working, but it might be cool to not see her go back in space when she gets caught by the wolf? It seems like she was so close to us and then she might have walked backwards to get attacked! I do, however, really like the space that yo'ure making with her being so close up!!

I also wanted to tell you that I am super happy to have had you in class - you're always such a hard worker and an enthusiastic, positive person. It's been really cool getting to know you and I really hope you keep in touch! I hope you keep using this stuff! I love the portraits you've made, they're fantastic and you really have a lot of talent ;) I'll miss having you in class!!!

  7. The details that you have going on here are really nice, and I like that you included close up shots for us to see. I like everything that you have going on here. You did a really great job with the lighting choices and sense of depth. The wolf is extra creepy and huge, and I mean creepy like a child predator not a werewolf or something to that effect. I really like what you have going on here. I would maybe add just a little bit more detail as you get closer to the foreground, so you push that depth even further.

  8. I love your final scene; the unnaturally large wolf really gets across the sense of the wolf's power and the little red riding hood's terror. I also really enjoy the textures on the trees and the wolf's fur, as well as the sense of light streaming through the trees onto the forest floor. I do find the texture on the forest floor a little off-putting though, probably because your characters are so well blended.
