This is super great! I love the texture and color decisions that you made! This looks very old-timey, which I am sure is what you were going for, and I love the framing device that you used!
The attention to detail is great! I also really like the way you framed it.
It looks like you've spent quite a bit of time on this piece and it really pulls through. The many subtle changes within the flea's body parts really give it some depth.
I really like how this turned out. I love how you kept to a very simple/subdued/almost monochromatic color scheme, but also added in subtle hints of other colors (blues, light yellows, reddish browns). You really managed to extenuate the form through color- the finished product looks much more 3D than the sketch, nice work!
amazing depth and detail in this piece! i love how you just have the image of the flea and the circle border was a good choice. i love how you handled the shadows and highlights! sooooo good!
This definitely fits in with the idea of plague. It looks like a scientific drawing with the desaturation and super detailed linework.
I really like the color pallet in this! It works super well and feels like old paper in such a good way!I like that you kept some of the little sketch lines because the whole thing is so realistic, the lines let it have just enough air.
I love the bug and the fact that you wouldn't really know this was in photoshop. Bueno!
This turned out really, really nice. I loec the subtle colors that you're using underneath the linework. one of the coolest things about this is that it really actually looks like an embossed flea. Do you know what I mean? Like it was pressed into the paper. I love the vintage quality - (nice way to bring in the subject and feeling of the plague). I also like that I can see tiny hits of color in this guy - like the little bits of blue. I think that does a lot to make him seem like a different texture and different entity than the paper behind him. I could see you experimenting a little bit more with color just to see what might happen if you were to add just a little more? Still - I love how the background is a little warmer than the flea. Also - nice handwriging. This is super cool. Great job. Totally awesome.
