This is cool! I think you have some issues with light source/where to properly illuminate, but it's a nice start! I also think you could increase contrast by maybe throwing in some shadows on things?
This is awesome, exellent detail on the hands and fabric. If you wanted to later (At least I'm going to do this with my character) you could probably size him down and make an interesting background for him to exist in.
I understand the placement of the highlights and reflections. I feel like you could have a lot of fun making those nice and feathery with gradient mesh.
I really like the glow on the hands. The yellow and orange really make the piece pop from all of the other dark colors used. Good color choices throughout the whole piece. I would lighten the guys pants up a little though. They get lost in the dark.
I looks like you are getting the hang of Ai. Every thing about the hands is so perfect on this piece. I love the colors in the flame and the way it reflects on the hands.
I would look at the reflection on the bottom of the robes. it seems like it should get dimmer to me. Also now that you are getting the hang of the shapes and everything I would look at the background.
I really like the composition of this! I think it would be awesome to see your fire a bit less outlined, some feathering would do nicely. Some shadows in the clothing would also be helpful to give depth to your figure.
The linear gradient on the upper right fireball needs love. I'd also like to see some highlight-shadow variation in the face and hands, since they are so close the the fireballs. The highlights on the hair and face from the background fireball are a nice touch!
Very nice work on the flame effects and all the glowing shapes on the hands and cloak. I feel it's very volumetric and well proportioned. The contour of his body is very solid which works well for this assignment but I would fade the bottom half his cloak so it doesn't seem like it cuts off.
it is really cool, I like the color you used and all the details on that guy's hand and body. But it looks a little bit like the guy's body was cut, because he only has the top side of his body, maybe you could add more, :)

Over all nice job!
